GUNO AND KOYO
Everywhere Java Sumatra and Celebes the people know the two men named Guno and Koyo when they here these names they have a big smile. One day Guno convinced Koyo to rob an old hadji. So during the night they dug a hole to get inside inside the old hadji's house by digging under the wall. After digging the hole Guno got inside and Koyo who watched outside to look for strangers and guard Guno from the outside. Guno got the valuables the old hadji owned but when coming out of the house Guno saw the hadji's beautiful and colorful robe. So he wore it then he was ready to go out but Guno did not want to get the robe dirty so Guno went to the door and unlocked the door and went outside. Koyo was still waiting outside the hole they dug so when Koyo saw the colorful robed figure outside the door Koyo thought it was the hadji so he ran then Guno saw Koyo running he thought the hadji was behind him so Guno ran after Koyo. The both of them made so much noise that they woke up the villagers near by they chased Guno and Koyo with sticks and sickles. Guno and Koyo ran until they were on the edge on the riverbed. Guno jumped in the riverbed first then Koyo. Then they noticed that the riverbed was dry then the villagers arrived. Then Guno and Koyo were doing swimming actions to trick the villageres but they knew already the riverbed was dry. Then villagers just started laughing then they left. Then came the quote "Don't go swimming in a dry river bed!" became real.

INTRODUCTION
Guno and koyo is a story written by Harold Courlander. I wanted to know is this story real? Or just
made to inspire or to teach a lesson. The two boys are really interesting. Not only are they robbers but someone who is crazy enough to do something as
fake swimming to get out of their very bad actions
So this blog will talk about the origin of this story
and also my opinion on it.
BODY
A Hadji from islam |
CONCLUSION
I have come to a realization that this story is teaching us
that it’s wrong to run from our problems and we should confront them and as the
quote from Guno and koyo say “Don’t go swimming in a dry riverbed!”
