Argumentative essay

First let us ask what is globalization? Well globalization is the process of interaction and integration among people, companies, and governments worldwide. Now let me just get this out of the way, yes Globalization does have good things about it for example: To poorer countries globalization brings the chance to sell their relatively low cost labor onto world markets and To people in richer countries globalization brings lower cost goods from abroad, which leaves them with spending power to spare and a higher standard of living. But I believe that globalization does more harm than good. How many do you ask? Well lets see

Globalization brings many a lot to the table but the amount of harm it can cause outweighs the good it can bring example Globalization uses up finite resources more quickly China joined the world trade organization in December 2001. In 2002, its coal use began rising rapidly

Also this has happened to India as a matter in fact do you know what happens the worlds uses more coal or fossil fuels? it increases the worlds carbon dioxide emissions which harms the planet even more and what about the new risks and uncertainties brought about by the high degree of integration of domestic and local markets, intensification of competition, high degree of imitation, price and profit swings, and business and product destruction. Globalization can also harm entire countries because Globalization make countries depend on each other for essential goods With globalization, goods can often be obtained cheaply from elsewhere. A country may come to believe that there is no point in producing its own food or clothing. It becomes easy to depend on imports and specialize in something like financial services or high-priced medical care.

These examples I have brought up is why globalization is bad for the world the amount of people it can affect is extremely horrible and can damage many peoples lives and yet may even destroy the planet. I do not disagree that yes it has some good things too it yet this good things are too little and because there is only little, the amount of bad things about globalization completely outweighs the harm it can do another example: when nations and local communities try to escape the vicious cycle of income and employment declines through simultaneous currency devaluations; and by raising trade barriers that in essence put an end to globalization and a beginning to trade wars, as was the case in the 1930s. Another study shows that Globalization ties countries together, so that if one country collapses, the collapse is likely to ripple through the system, pulling many other countries with it. History includes many examples of civilizations that started from a small base, gradually grew to over-utilize their resource base, and then collapsed. We are now dealing with a world situation which is not too different. The big difference this time is that a large number of countries is involved, and these countries are increasingly interdependent.

These arguments that I have made shows that globalization is extremely harmful and can do more bad than good. The amount of horrible things it can do to our world is catastrophic and we should take note and stop it if we continue then our planet will be destroyed because of more coal and fossil fuels being used and countries that grow more dependent of other countries because of globalization and also increased prices of oil. Globalization can destroy our world if we do not stop it we must try and stop it because we only have one world and we must protect it.
